2022 Damien Guadagnolo Cotes du Jura Chardonnay, Jura, France Ormiale “Elements”From young, organically farmed parcels on the limestonemarl slopes of the southern Jura, Guadagnolo ferments this Chardonnay with native yeasts and ages it in older barrels to keep the focus on tension and mineral cut. The 2022 shows bright citrus and white orchard fruit, gentle reduction, and a saline, Kimmeridgian inflected backbone. Lees lift adds quiet texture without rounding the edges.
