Just about as satisfying an antique clock face as I can envision, with gorgeous rich black hand painted roman numerals against creamy white, four point stars painted between each, and a smaller dial below marking quarters, probably corresponding to a chime. And then these excellent Doric style columns to either side, giving it the feel of a stately facade. I love time related objects of all sorts, and perhaps especially those that no longer keep
