This one was done with white thread on white linen

Wonderful Folk Art Workers on Railway Hand Car Pull Toy man in tophat A book by architects forI've included a short video clip of this toy rolling, which is not very good but gives a sense of what active workers these two are, bending two and fro as the cart is pulled along by the string (or just given a push.) I was though, of course, sold on this toy as soon as I saw this blue eyed pair in their orange uniforms and caps, whether they moved or not! Early 20th century I believe, found in Pennsylvania, and to me eye and sensibility completely
