looking as if perhaps a few months pregnant and  mending (I assume) what looks more like a sheet or blanket than a shirt

this piece was purchased from an estate in Newton

Seeming very much to represent a world unto itself, one might think the wood panel it was painted on, with bark along the top, came from a tree felled nearby too. With some interested magic marker drawings all up and down
