Chenrezig, or Avalokitesvara (Sanskrit), is the guardian bodhisattva of the Mahayana. He is considered to be the essence of the compassion of all the Buddhas. He is pictured here with a thousand arms and his inner two hands hold a lotus between them. His mantra of all pervading compassion is OM MANI PADME HUNG. Measurements: With Brocade: 59" tall
