This is an odd Pinot Noir that feels just a little overbaked

It has that iodine-like or fresh blood note I associate with schist and iron soils

Utterly elegant

Delicate and juicy mix of red and blue fruit with hints of peppermint and crushed stones to close

000 bottles were filled in May 2017

Taylor, Very Old Single Harvest Vintage:1964 This is an odd PinotTraditionally the preserve of Portuguese owned houses, colheita has been colonised by Taylors after its takeover of Krohn in 2013; just 2,000 bottles of this were made. Lifted caramel aromas with a hint of butterscotch. Suave, rich, spicy flavours quite sweet but stops just short of cloying on the finish. Supremely fresh, delicate length. Remarkable wine at 50 years old.
