It was originally commissioned by the noble Florentine family, the Medici, to artisans as a gift to the peasants as a symbol of prosperity and good fortune. The Rooster Jug is identified by the shape of a rooster and majolica decor however we have reinterpreted the decor to bring it to the IVO table
