The box is missing one short side as pictured and shows some loss the the niches for the sliding lid

I know this flag was painted by a young Edna Mohler--found along with a crayoned maple leaf listed separately and dated 1910

I like penny rugs as a thing, but rarely come across one I really love this one to my eye just right, with strong graphic appeal due to those blacks, but nice soft colors everywhere else, including the hand dyed cotton ground, which shows some fading bleeding, all to the good in my opinion. 51" x 24 3 4".
