Earthy Presumed Mid Century Japanese Signed Studio Pottery Vase miniature or I think would beI want to describe this Japanese vessel as Brutalist, but certainly much of its inspiration comes from traditional Japanese pottery, including its beautiful jar form. (And I think it could be situated in the tradition of Shigaraki ware rugged, functional stoneware that originated in a valley to the southeast of Kyoto some 1,000 years ago.)
