The splint wrapping the loop handle at the center of the lid is a bit loose at the end and the exterior color hasfaded a but with age

but then was excited to discover a complete vintage lettering set inside

no spots or unevenness) and small tearing around the left and right edges-- but overall it is in great condition and perfect for matting
