with remarkable polish and class to burn
2011 seems to be more fruit forward
when many young Ports are exuberant
Both the 2010 and the 2009 continue to blow me away every time I taste them
Happily here there is no reduction present on the ultra-spicy and floral nose where soft wood frames the ripe aromas of various dark berries and plum scents
Marie et Pierre Benetiere, Cote Rotie Cordeloux other_regions_italy with remarkable polish and classOpaque ruby. The nose displays fresh blackberry and bitter cherry scents, along with notes of candied flowers, star anise and cured meat. Nervy and precise on entry, then fleshier in the middle, offering juicy dark berry and cherry pit flavors and a touch of licorice. The nicely focused finish is framed by silky, even tannins.
