C. 1940s Mexican Folk Art Bullfighters Set carved painted eagle There is a hairline crackI've come across a few of these little Mexican wire bullfighting figures over the years, and have always found them pretty amazing, but I've never found as large a set as this, allowing for some pretty exciting arrangements! These were all handmade, c. 1940s I believe, of wire and clay, and hand painted; I really love the exuberant gestures of the figures with their waving arms, and a red cut paper muleta pierced by the arm of one of them.
