Fine Mid-1880s British Watercolor of Boy and His Beloved Dog hoke carving 5 1/8" in diameterI've got a special weakness for renderings of children with their beloved pets, and it took me all of two seconds to purchase this one from a seller in England when I saw it. Quite finely done, at first glance one might almost think it a print, but it's a watercolor indeed, unsigned but dating to the mid 19th century I know. The treatment of the dog I think is especially terrific, with its shaggy hair given intensive attention, but it's that white paw
