Captain Josling, of HMS Euryalus Size:M: 50 x 40cm the ant's sting (figCaptain Josling, of HMS 'Euryalus', 1863. Josling commanded the 'Euryalus', flagship of the British squadron at the bombardment of the Japanese port of Kagoshima in August 1863. He and his second in command, Commander Wilmot, were killed during the fighting when they were both decapitated by the same cannonball, fired from the Japanese forts on the shore.
