The 2004 Brut Cristal has put on quite a bit of weight since I first tasted it earlier this year
The 2009 Malartic-Lagravière comprises a blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon
The bunches on average were loose and the berries small
graphite and smoke is not intense but gains vigor with continued aeration
It's medium to full-bodied
Joseph Roty, Charmes Chambertin Tres Vv Vintage:2014 The 2004 Brut Cristal has(from a . 16 ha parcel in Charmes proper of vines planted in 1885 that have never been pulled up though Roty points out that all those that have died over the years have been replanted). An elegant, pure and broad ranging nose is composed of very fresh, cool and airy aromas of both red and dark currant, spice and earth scents where the wood treatment is admirably subtle if again not invisible. There is a lovely mouth feel to the attractively intense
