I think they're super beautiful

pinpricked drawings/paintings on paper

and the bolster-like shape the piece they are attached to--likely cut from an old box as there is some text on one side--which serves them perfectly

Quite unusual portrayal, and just fabulous I think, done by Isah Papialuk (b. 1926), a well known Inuit artist (both for carvings and for prints) from Puvirnituq Povungnituk in northern Nunavik, northern Quebec, Canada.
