Mustard Grain Painted Stool with Fancy Legs 1970s prison art as pushing in on thePhotos do no real justice to this one between the mustard paint and graphicness of the grain painting, it delivers a terrific visual punch. The thickness of the top, combined with the very curvaceous forms of the legs make it feel almost like something else entirely too I keep thinking of the classically inspired deconstructionist postmodern architecture of Charles Moore, say, but also somehow of de Chirico paintings, and also Cubist collages.
