There is really no better red than the red of this paint as it shows on tin, either. Mid 19th century, with stencil painted lettering; decorative dashes above and below, and a terrific patina. A really charming example. 2 3 4" d x 3 5 8" across at handle x 2" t. General wear to the paint showing spots of silver beneath. And with the paint perfectly worn away at the top of handle from being held.
