Elgart who painted this had a pretty great time doing so
It shows a few areas of loss on the sides (not visible when from front
and flowers and vines
but when I spotted this from a distance
with ribbed areas at four points giving it a bit of tooth

European, most likely Scandanavian; I am not an expert on bentwood pantry boxes, but I think the manner in which the end of the wood is secured (known as Svepaskis in Swedish) is indicative of that.
