Mounted Relief Carving of Native American with Feathered Headdress decorative obelisks It is signed on theI like the contemplativeness of this carved bas relief portrait, which to my eye veers away from kitsch to make it feel like something else entirely, quiet and tender. 1940s or so I would think, with this lovely pale yellow for the shirt and soft red for the tips of the feathers. It looks to me that the portrait was carved separately and then mounted to the panel on which it sits. 12 1 4" t x 8 1 2" w x 1 1 16" d and in very good condition.
