Carved Marble Folk Art Miniature Book with Red Painted Florishes handwoven rug ) Lavater (1741 – 1801)A beauty of an antique carved marble book, I think my favorite of these I've found (this one in PA), with the red painted flourished on front reminding me of painted lips about to deliver a kiss! Bright white marble, in wonderful condition, with detailing around the perimeter of front and back and across the spine. 3 3 4" x 2 1 2" x 3 4". Excellent antique condition, 19th c., with some loss to the red paint decorating the spine but the painted
