This is beautifully designed and very nicely crafted old handmade solitaire game board--engaging to play
It feels great to hold in the hand
The only challenge about it is that nearly all of what I believe are the original strings are still attached
this was done in 1861

White on Black Double-sided, Hand-painted Scorekeeping Numbers - A Pair stone carved figure This is beautifully designed andI'm not entirely sure what game these were made to score, but I'm pretty certain scorekeeping that was their original purpose perhaps they tracked balls and strikes? In any case, I think the hand painted numbers are about as good as they could be, and perfect in this very painterly white against black. And how great this 1 and 11 I assume meant to represent 1 and 2, though, as they flag in the opposite direction, perhaps I am wrong and they stand for
