Description
fleshy and ripe but missing the complexity of its peers
Both the 2010 and the 2009 continue to blow me away every time I taste them
Here the soil speaks quite clearly
This is clearly going to need time but should be approachable after only 6 to 8 years
Rich and opulent for Petrus (maybe the most opulent that Jean-Claude Berrouet ever made) and yet it retains a sense of symmetry and freshness on the finish that I think is unique to this Pomerol
Penet Chardonnet, Les Epinettes other_regions fleshy and ripe but missingNotes of lemon oil, toasted bread, chamomile and sweet orchard fruit preface the 2010 Grand Cru Millsime Les Epinettes, a medium to full bodied, bright and fleshy wine that's concentrated, incisive and a touch youthfully austere. It's not the most charming or immediate rendition of this bottling, but I suspect time will be kind to it.
