SOLD 1856 Pennsylvania German Quilting Template Cut from the The Dollar Weekly Pennsylvanian Lithuanian costume I believe it is madeI was excited to find this, and two more listed today, folded up together in a sleeve in Maine this week; I recognized them immediately as old quilting templates, but didn't take the time to open them up in the shop. When I got home I was surprised, and delighted, to find that they are quite early ones the Pennsylvania newspapers they were cut from bear the year 1856, and one of the newspapers is in German, so these are Pennsylvania German indeed.
