These early cabins were very primitive and never intended to be their final home. After a permanent home was built, they would use the cabin for housing animals and storage. Some were torn down and the lumber was used for barns, corn cribs, and fencing. Nothing ever went to waste in the wilderness. We wanted to honor the early
