While certainly a good effort I was somewhat under-whelmed given the usual standards this wine offers

It is a powerful, driven style, not full of generosity. It has menthol and green flavor characteristics with a just starting to develop toasty character. With its almost fierce nature and what seems like some phenolics, this is one to consider aging. The 2021 would pair well with fully flavored ingredients.
