A Customs and Border Protection Winter Service Cap consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac 1898 in Fort Brown(Zollgrenzschutz Winterfellmtze). An extremely well preserved Zollgrenschutz (Customs and Border Protection) winter service cap, constructed of a field grey wool base. Fold down flaps surround the exterior, and consist of a dark blue grey cotton blended cloth base topped by a thick layer of rabbit fur, with the extended sides offering optional ear and neck protection to the wearer.
