In silver gilt with red and white enamels, measuring 28. 7 mm (w) x 58 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, intact enamels, scattered gilt wear evident on the royal monogram of King Frederick IX, original ribbon with pinback, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of the Dannebrog is a Danish order of chivalry instituted in 1671 by Christian V. Until 1808, membership in the order was
