as part of the 1st Submarine Flotilla at Malta and assigned to the L Class Submarine L-23 on February 11th

Germany, Luftwaffe. A Bomber Clasp, Silver Grade, With Case Newly Listed 10 Year Schlageter Memorial Award(Frontflugspange fr Kampf und Sturzkampfflieger in Silber mit Etui). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a central circular laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a swastika, surrounding a downward pointing winged bomb of patinated bronze composition, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the reverse with a single visible rivet securing the bomb in place, with a barrel hinge and tapering horizontal pinback meeting
