Cotton-Linen Bengara Straight Denim Jeans cargo The quilted jacket from StoneOriginally developed by Kichinosuke Tonomura at the Kurashiki Honzome Handwoven Research Institute, this textile concept took roughly three years to fully realize. Hand dyed cotton thread with all natural bengara (Indian red) and indigo was rewound onto spools, with natural dyeing sometimes weakening the yarn. After extensive trial, wax was added to improve flexibility without compromising the integrity of the natural dyes. The denim is woven on a
