Antique Carved Wooden Cherub Presumed 18th Century French Shoulao It's signed on the bottomThis wonderful little antique carved wooden cherub I am guessing is French, believe dates to the 18th century, and imagine came from a church or perhaps a piece of furniture. As I write this, Notre Dame is burning, so at the moment it looks to me rather sad, though yesterday I thought it looked quite beatific. I found it at the Wellesley, MA estate sale of artist Lois Gross Smiley (1925 2019), a prolific artist who came up with the Abstract
