It was definitely made quite a long time agothe aging to the painted surface is just gorgeousand, with that wonderful blue jacket, Id bet was inspired by Peter Rabbit (first published in 1902.) He may have been a pull toy, or a door stop, as there are two well worn holes near the bottom. I really love his deadpan expression, with whiskers that look like arrows pointing towards his nose, and then
